Timber fencing built to stay straight
Pinelap gets a bad name because so much of it is thrown up quickly and starts leaning inside a couple of years. Built right, with posts in concrete and proper bracing at the ends and corners, it lasts a long time.
We use treated pine so it stands up to the ground and the weather, and we set the palings with an even overlap so the line reads straight from the street. Leave it to grey off naturally or oil it, either works.

Asbestos fence removal in Perth
If the fence coming down is old grey fibre cement sheet, it may well be asbestos, and it is not something to pull down yourself. We remove and dispose of it properly, then put the new fence up in its place. Ask when we come out and we will price the removal with the fence.

Timber fencing FAQs
How long does a timber fence last?
Treated pine put up properly gives you a long run before anything needs attention, and most of what fails first is a post at ground level rather than the palings. We can replace a single post without pulling the whole fence down.
Do I have to oil or paint it?
No. Left alone it greys off to a soft silver, which plenty of people prefer. Oiling every couple of years keeps it closer to the original colour if you want that.
Is timber cheaper than Colorbond?
Usually a bit, especially on a long run, but the gap narrows once you factor in the odd repair down the track. We can quote both so you can see the real numbers for your boundary.
