Strong, straight and practical. Concrete or steel posts are set securely in concrete, with panels slotted between them to create a durable retaining wall for long runs, higher walls and areas carrying extra load.
Post and panel walls for long runs and real load
The posts carry the load. We set them into concrete footings at spacings suited to the height of the wall, then slot the panels between them. The result is a straight, efficient retaining wall that works particularly well along longer boundaries.
This is also an option we often recommend when there is a driveway, shed or neighbouring property close behind the wall. The design can be engineered to suit the ground conditions and the load it needs to hold.

Post and panel wall FAQs
Is this the same as sleeper walls?
Similar idea, but the panels we use are concrete rather than timber sleepers. Steel or concrete posts are set into the ground, with concrete panels slotted between them. Concrete lasts longer than timber and doesn’t need replacing down the track.
Can it hold up a driveway?
Yes, when it’s designed for the load. The posts and footings are sized to suit what’s sitting behind the wall, and walls carrying vehicle loads are engineered properly before we build them.
Does it look industrial?
Less than you might expect. The panels have a finished face, and once the ground is backfilled and landscaped, you mostly notice the clean top line of the wall rather than the panels themselves.
